FUNCTIONAL PRINCIPLE: Any analog signals in the range of ±10V
are captured synchronous using up to eight (sixteen) input channels.
The signals are sampled at the same time with a resolution of 16 bits (0.3 mV, 97 dB
typical dynamic range). The sample rate is up to 48 kHz per channel regardless of the
number of channels used. Combined digital and analog anti aliasing filters give
a high quality phase reproduction.
Based on a time window or an external trigger input the sampled data is normalized for
further evaluations. |

In addition the hardware supplies a high performance digital signal processing unit
enabling the following functions:
Filter for every channel using FIR architecture with linear phase response.
Order tracking filters when using the zero pulse input. Phase linear FIR filters
are used.
Delay of single channel signals to synchronize time delayed input channels.
Online display and calculations (fourier transformation, add, sub, correlation)
Various trigger functions based on speed and time values.
Resampling of the input signals to get a constant number of input samples by a 50
times over sampling filter and interpolation architecture.
The results with the corresponding phase information are transmitted via the RS 232
port.
Using the WinVA software (shipped with an AA8)
the results may be displayed online. Processing and storing of the data is supported by
this software.
COMPLETE PACKAGE INCLUDING SOFTWARE WinVA:
The software WinVA completes the system and
guarantees a user friendly operation.
A software package for Windows NT/95 is a scope of
supply of the analog signal Analyzer AA8. Additionally a serial cable for the RS
232 interface and a link cable for the operation of two AA8 is supplied.
The settings of the analog signal Analyzer AA8 may be interactive set up and stored.
Measurement results may be online displayed, evaluated and stored in files.
A wide range of diagram types (waterfall, orbit, order tracking...) is available.
